Moon Chun Memorial College invited to perform at France Macau Business Association Charity Gala Dinner 2018
Moon Chun Memorial College strengthened its town-and-gown relationship with the local Macau community by performing at the 10th France Macau Business Association Charity Gala Dinner “Extravagance au Moulin Rouge” on 26th January 2018, one of the prime and most celebrated events in Macau’s social calendar.
The event gathered over 300 guests including Macau SAR Secretary of Social Affairs Bureau, Alexis Tam, the Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, Eric Berti, and French Senator Christophe Frassa, among other personalities.
Led by John Ma, director of UM String Ensemble, violist Professor Gene Moon, and cellist Antonio Roig, MCMC and other students Lauren Pang, Lan Wang, Hio Man Cheong, and Lexi Fang played a series of carefully chosen works for string ensemble especially prepared for this evening. The students developed their musicianship and gained valuable exposure and first-hand professional experience of performing live at a high-profile and high-visibility event.
Collegium MCM seeks to nurture collective talent of students in Arts, Culture, Internationality, English language proficiency and Sporting prowess. By engaging students in a diversity of events, MCM College students have begun to establish a growing reputation as dynamic and much sought after ensemble and demonstrated all-round outstanding ambassadorship for MCMC, UM and Macau in a global context.
